Oulton Park provides the next stop on the calendar for the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE JCW this weekend (21-22 June) and it’s a venue that Harry Hickton is hoping will see him clinch a first trophy of the 2025 season.

Heading to the picturesque Cheshire venue off the back of tallying a brace of top-five finishes at Snetterton, the Mannpower Motorsport driver has just one target going into the third meeting of the year - to stand on the podium.

Bolstered by the front-running momentum that was showcased last time out, last year’s MINI CHALLENGE Trophy title winner has every reason to be confident with the technical 2.226-mile layout being suited to his attacking driving style.

The 18-year-old - who is backed by Maber Construction, Hysons Chartered Accountants, The Platform Lift Company, Vernham Labels, Woodstock Plumbing and Heating Supplies, MDH Roofing & Son, Vertex VT Consultants, GSF Car Parts and DPH Services - will be one to watch.

Harry Hickton: “It’s been about a month since I was last in the car so to say I’m itching to get back behind the wheel is a little bit of an understatement going into this weekend at Oulton Park.

“After the tricky start to the year at Donington Park it was nice to bounce back with three strong results at Snetterton, and the aim now is to build on that across the two races we’ve got over Saturday and Sunday.

“Due to the nature of the circuit qualifying is going to be absolutely crucial on Saturday morning so if we can put ourselves on those front few rows then I’ve no doubt that we can be in the mix come the races.

“I really want to be on that podium this weekend. Everyone at Mannpower Motorsport is working so hard - both at the track and back at base - so it would be great to reward their efforts with some silverware. Let’s see what we can go and do!”

Qualifying at Oulton Park goes down at 10:40 on Saturday before the opening encounter takes place later that afternoon at 14:20. One more race - at 15:20 - will follow on Sunday, which will be aired live on ITV4 and ITVX.
