Harry Hickton Gunning For Positive End To 2026 Season At Brands Hatch

Harry Hickton is aiming to convert his front-running pace into three strong results at Brands Hatch this weekend (October 10-11) as the curtain falls on the 2026 Power Maxed MINI CHALLENGE JCW season.
In what has been a campaign packed with highs and lows, the Hampshire racer has vowed to be on maximum attack in what will be a captivating pursuit of silverware around the legendary Grand Prix circuit in Kent.
Since the turn of the summer break, Hickton has arguably been the fastest driver on the JCW grid and back at Knockhill, he claimed a long-overdue maiden pole position and race win in the tin top series.
Incredibly the 20-year-old could easily have added to both of those tallies too had it not been for spades of misfortune. Now though, he’s hoping that is all behind him so that he can finish the current term with a flurry of trophies.
As always, Hickton will bid for glory with the backing of Millers Oils, Maber Construction, Hysons Chartered Accountants, Vertex VT Consultants, MDH Roofing, Woodstock Plumbing and Heating Supplies, Omnific Civil Engineering, Childsey, Q Barriers and the Pool Lift Company.
Harry Hickton: “It’s crazy to think that we’re at the end of another season, and what a journey it has been. I felt like we used up a lot of bad luck last year but this season has been like nothing I’ve known before.
“I think it has been clear to see that we have one of the fastest packages on the grid, especially in the past few rounds. Unfortunately circumstances have largely conspired against us and that’s meant we’ve always come away with less than we deserved.
“This weekend the target it clear, to win races and stand on the podium. The Brands Hatch GP circuit is one of my favourites on the calendar and it’s a place where the driver can really make the difference - especially out the back.
“It’s no secret that there were times in recent weeks where we might not make the end of the season but thanks to my incredible partners, here we are. I’m determined to sign off the year on a high and reward everyone that has supported me. Let’s have it!”
Qualifying at Brands Hatch kicks off proceedings at 11:50 on Saturday before race one takes place later that afternoon at 16:35. Two more races - at 10:30 and 15:50 - will then follow on Sunday, the second of which will be aired live on ITV4.
