Home Of British Motor Racing Beckons For Harry Hickton

Harry Hickton has vowed to go ‘all out’ for silverware this weekend (September 26-27) as the Power Maxed MINI CHALLENGE heads to Silverstone for the penultimate meeting of the 2026 campaign.

Set to take centre stage at the Home of British Motor Racing, the EXCELR8 Development Driver heads to the world-famous circuit riding a wave of momentum after enjoying his best showing of the season at Knockhill last month.

There, the 20-year-old proved to be the star of the show as he swept aside the opposition by clinching a maiden pole position in qualifying. He then converted that into a flawless first-ever victory int he one-make series.

Capping off a superb weekend with a third-place finish in the weekend’s finale, the former MINI CHALLENGE Trophy title winner is now fully focused on maintaining his front-running form in Northamptonshire on Silverstone’s 1.64-mile National layout.

As always, Hickton will bid for glory with the backing of Millers Oils, Maber Construction, Hysons Chartered Accountants, Vertex VT Consultants, MDH Roofing, Woodstock Plumbing and Heating Supplies, Omnific Civil Engineering, Childsey, Q Barriers and the Pool Lift Company.

Harry Hickton: “What we achieved at Knockhill was really special and an incredible reward for not only myself, but also my family and loyal sponsors that have been so supportive on this journey with me.

“Obviously it’s been almost two months since we were last in action but its pretty flat-out behind the scenes. I’ve been putting in a big effort to make sure that we’re in a position to carry forward this momentum that we have.

“Silverstone is a unique challenge as there are only a few corners and three long straights, so that means the action is going to be super-close and slip-streaming will be hugely important. If we can be in the mix towards the front in qualifying, I’m confident we can get back on that podium."

Qualifying at Silverstone goes down at 11:55 on Saturday before race one takes place later that afternoon at 16:10. Two more races - at 10:25 and 15:55 - will follow on Sunday, with coverage being broadcast live on ITV4 and ITVX.
