Harry Hickton is looking to open his podium account for the season this weekend (9-10 May) as the Power Maxed MINI CHALLENGE descends on Brands Hatch for the second meeting of the 2026 season.
Kicking off his sophomore season in the JCW Class at Donington Park last month, the Mannpower Motorsport driver found himself out of luck as he got innocently caught up in a number of incidents - all of which resulted in his top-five pace going unrewarded.
Having had time to take stock of the opening three races of the new campaign, the 2024 MINI CHALLENGE Trophy title winner is now ready to bounce back in style by punching in a strong performance at Brands Hatch.
The Hampshire racer will do so with the support of Maber Construction, Hysons Chartered Accountants, Vertex VT Consultants, MDH Roofing, Woodstock Plumbing and Heating Supplies, Omnific Civil Engineering, Childsey and the Pool Lift Company too.
Hickton - who is also a Brand Ambassador for Millers Oils - will head into the weekend sitting sixth in the Drivers’ Championship.
Harry Hickton: “I’m really looking forward to Brands Hatch this weekend. The Indy circuit is one that I have always enjoyed; especially because it produces some really close racing and there are plenty of spots to get overtaking done.
“Donington Park was one of those weekend’s where I was left with mixed emotions. On one hand we had really good pace that was thwarted, and then on the other we thankfully came away with the car suffering very little damage.
“All things considered, to be sitting sixth overall is really encouraging and I’ve no doubt we can be in the mix this weekend. Nailing a lap in qualifying is the first job and if we can do that, there’s no reason why we can’t run at the front across all three races.”
Qualifying at Brands Hatch kicks off the new season at 12:20 on Saturday before the opening encounter takes place later that afternoon at 16:45. Two more races - at 13:15 and 16:00 - will follow on Sunday, the second of which will be aired live on ITV4.
